There is no relationship as important as the one we forge with ourselves, but sometimes it can be challenging knowing how to develop and nurture that relationship. We may often feel that we might have lost sight of what we need, but I believe with the right support anyone and everyone have the tools to become the truest version of themselves.
About me and my practice
Hello, my name is Jo and I am a humanistic / pluralistic counsellor registered with the NCPS and a registered Hypnotherapist with the HS. My approach utilises three varying modalities: Person-centred Humanistic, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and I specialise particularly in (normalised) childhood trauma / childhood emotional abuse for both adults and minors (0-18 years), and self-relationship issues and rebuilding.
I also have extensive experience and training in anxiety, stress management, depression, grief and loss, bereavement, addiction, Autism and Aspergers Syndrome (ASD), ADHD, general neurodivergence, LGBTQIA+ / LBTQ Issues, self harm, OCD, trauma and many more.
I believe in offering a strong non-judgemental environment, that I hope you will be able to utilise as a safe space, to explore and work through any thoughts feelings and experiences that may have been challenging you or causing you issue. The space I offer will always be yours and I am only there to support you on this journey of growth that you have bravely decided to take your first steps in.
I want to reassure, that any individual and any problem is welcome within my space. I have a lot of experience with both the neurodivergent and the LGBTIQA+ communities, and hope that all those who are struggling may find the space that they are looking for here.
I could tell you more about myself, but I feel it would be far better to meet me, in order for you to learn more and to decide what is best for you. Equally I will always be looking forward to meeting you and learning all about the wonder that is you.
So, thank you for taking the time to read my profile and I hope that I may be lucky enough to hear from you soon.
Kindest Always
